Lovely house, a great place to explore London!

Capstan Square, Stewart Street, London, London

We stayed in this house at Easter this year for a week, two adults and three teenagers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay: the house has all that is needed to make your stay comfortable, it was very clean and well-maintained. The view over the river is fantastic. We had real trouble getting out of the house in the morning - it was just too tempting to sit in the lounge, sip a coffee and watch the boats go by... the house is also very conveniently located to explore London by public transport: 12-15 min walk from Canary Wharf with its restaurants and cafés and shopping (and where you can catch the Jubilee line, which is what we usually did). The DLR station is even nearer (8-10 min), and for those who really don't want to walk, there is a bus stop almost in front of the house. Costs for transport are also limited as the house is located in Zone 2. Booking and arrival/departure arrangements were very smooth - thank you, Christine! The owner also provides a lot of information material on attractions, restaurants, etc. which is very handy. In short: highly recommended - we will be back! Nb: don't miss the great food at the Gastro-Pub "The Gun", which is just a 3 min walk from the house.

Happy Holiday!

We had a wonderful time at Riverside and exploring London. One highlight was a matinee at the Globe to see "As you Like it". we walked the Thames path just about everyday, went to the Tate Modern, the National Portrait Gallery, were impressed with Canary Wharf,my sister and brother in-law remember the old docklands so it amazed them. we also walked Regents Park along the canal to Camden Locks. Saw the City and places we had worked, St.Pauls, the Tower, Trafalgar Sq. and so many more places that we could fit in. It was indeed good to return each day to a comfortable welcoming place to rest. We can certainly recommend Riverside as a good place to stay and if we can return to London in the future we will hope to stay there.

Review #6112401 "Excellent 3 bedroom"  April 2013.

The clean 3 bedroom apartment is set in a quiet neighborhood on the Thames with a view of the O2 Arena. The description of the apartment was spot on. Since we stayed for 9 nights the housekeeper came after 4 nights and cleaned the apartment and changed the linens. That was a bonus we did not expect. The entertainment system was excellent and the wifi was sufficient especially since we had to contact people after the Boston Marathon. We were able to enter the apartment early which was nice especially after a long night flight to London. Obtaining the key was easier than expected. We chose to walk to Canary Wharf every day to catch the Jubilee line. It was a nice 15 minute walk, and decided it was easier than to walk to South Quay and catch the DLR only to have to change to Jubilee. We also chose to have our main meals out so we did not use the full kitchen facilities. The 3rd floor bedroom was the largest and the best so put your dibs in early! We have stayed in Christine's apartments before and have recommended them to our colleagues.
