On the river, in full view of the house, many water sports and events can be watched or even taken part in. The local newspaper will have details. On those days when you just want to flop, the house has two TV's one in the lounge which has Satellite, (90 Channels to choose from). There is also an audio tape player, CD player, radio stereo system. The second TV is located in the top floor bedroom. There are also books and various board games. Local tourist attractions are easy of access, many and diverse. There are stadiums such as The London Arena, The Excel Exhibition Complex and the New Millennium Dome. Nearby, you will find The Tower of London; the Museum of Docklands; St. Katharine's Dock; The London Dungeons; London Bridge City; The Wine Museum and the famous 'Clink' Prison to explore.

To the South of the Island is the underwater Thames Walkway, a short walk to the fastest sailing vessel of her time, the famous tea clipper 'Cutty Sark'. She sits in dry dock in Greenwich alongside the famous Navel College and The Maritime Museum. Here also are street markets where everything can be bought or sold and the colorful restaurants serving such exotic dishes from Vietnamese, Russia, Mexico, Thai, Chinese as well as the more usual French and Italian. From the Greenwich Observatory, the Meridian Line runs around the globe and Greenwich Mean Time rules the clocks everywhere. In Greenwich Park you will find the Maritime Museum and from the highest point one can see right across London, on a clear day. A perfect spot for picnics.
