This townhouse is well served by local shops for all ones immediate needs.

In Castalian Square across the road, you will find a Post Office, Dry Cleaners, Off-License, Green grocer, Hairdresser and Medical Office for the local Doctor (Hopefully not required.) Outside the square, 3 mins walk along Manchester Road,  you will find a late night mini supermarket, open from 6.30 am till 10.30pm. These are local shops to service immediate rations and needs, but the larger supermarkets for the weekly shop are nearby too.

There are three large supermarkets. Asda's which is situated across the road from Crossharbour Station. The second Tesco's, is located off the DLR train platform in Canary Wharf Station. You just walk off the train and walk into the supermarket. The third is rather special, Waitrose which you will find in the Canary Wharf shopping complex.  This supermarket has a juice bar, a sushi bar, a champagne and oyster bar and sells the most delicious foods. Also provides a good selection of fine gifts, shoes and leather goods.

Listed in the house also, are some of the 200 local shops, some 50 restaurants, their type and an approx price guide. Some details are supplied in these pages,  so that you may prepare for your first day.

A few minutes walk will reach the famous Billingsgate Fish Market, which is open to the public weekdays, before 8.30am. Get your lobsters and shrimp here as do the many local restaurants and pubs. A fish meal in one of the local eateries will provide the very best of the 'catch' in the whole of London.

Tabulated for you in these pages are the local museums, galleries, street markets, water sports clubs, swimming pools and for the children there's even a free local animal farm,  just 5 minutes walk away. See the drop down menu on the home page.

Canary Wharf is probably best know worldwide,  as the home for some of the biggest banks and trading houses within some of London's tallest buildings. This magnificent marbled complex with its tree lined embankment and parkland, contains a three floor shopping complex, (some 50 shops) there's a multiple screen Cinemas, cosmopolitan restaurants, wine bars and cafes. The shops are up-market with fine clothes, jewellery and presents.

All this coupled with free weekend entertainments and everyday facilities such as banks and travel agents, the complex is bustling. An events brochure will be available in the house.
